Cincinnati Precision Instruments is partnered with QC Training Services to bring you the technical training needed to support your manufacturing efforts. In addition to our standard Gage Calibration Methods workshops, we are now offering the basics of blueprint reading, GD&T and measurement uncertainty workshops.   

In addition, we are now bringing you CORE TOOLS training - APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC.   Take each one as a Public Class offering, or bring on-site for a 5-day seminar.  We can support your training needs.

MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS ANALYSIS | Dec. 9-10th, 2019 $845  |  2 Days
This program provides a fundamental and practical review of Measurement Systems Analysis. MSA is an excellent quality tool to use with any quality system and has direct application to ISO/IATF 16949. This course is recommended for anyone involved in quality planning or involved in the implementation of ISO/IATF 16949 and third-party auditors. Participants will study effective methods to remove guesswork from quality metrics, eliminate or reduce inspection levels, and increase overall knowledge to improve production processes. Learn the different tools used to analyze data, approaches for variable vs. attribute data, as well as performance vs. capability

This basic print reading program explains the importance of engineering drawings in manufacturing and thoroughly describes the generation and duplication of such drawings. It discusses the basic elements of a blueprint and introduces the concepts which students must master to successfully interpret engineering drawings. No prior knowledge of drafting or drawing is assumed. This blueprint reading training covers the principles of shop sketching, basic review of shop mathematics, and use of common measuring tools.

ADVANCED PRODUCT QUALITY PLANNING | Nov. 5th, 2019 $450  |  1 Day
QC Training Services’ Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) class is a comprehensive introduction to the APQP process – its planning, strategy and benefits. Learn the structure and information sources for effective use of APQP and its correlation to the rest of the AIAG core tools. Participants will learn the general application of the APQP process and its five distinct phases and correlation to the P-D-C-A cycle. Understanding the inputs and outputs of each phase will lead to improved communication within your company and your customers.

PRODUCTION PART APPROVAL PROCESS | Nov. 6th, 2019 $450  |  1 Day
Participants will become familiar with the work required before an actual PPAP can be performed, the process of developing and submitting a Part Submission Warrant (PSW), the forms that must be used, and the PPAP requirements of the major auto, truck and tire manufacturers. Become more adept at resolution of new problems because of the rigorously-documented product history, track quality enhancements over product lifecycles and improve relations with suppliers and customers.

GD&T FUNDAMENTALS  $845  |  2 Days
This program is a complete introduction to the Y14.5M-1994 and Y14.5-2009 standards. The gap between designers and measurement personnel is closed. The concepts are introduced to both groups, from two different angles. Design and Inspection techniques are examined that will greatly increase knowledge of inspection methods

GD&T ADVANCED $845  |  2 Days
This program is a continuation of your education in the Y14.5 standard. There will be discussions about being able to identify both correct and incorrect drawings with GD&T. In this program, we focus on the application and interpretation of GD&T – another step closer to becoming a GD&T expert.

FAILURE MODE AND EFFECTS ANALYSIS | Nov. 7th, 2019 $450  |  1 Day
This program provides a fundamental and practical review of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis. FMEA is an excellent quality tool to use with any quality system. While the general benefits of Process FMEA are similar to those of Design FMEA, the specific benefit is that you will learn to use these powerful tools effectively to improve processes in your organization. MEASUREMENT UNCERTAINTY BUDGETS  (MUB) | Dec. 11-12th, 2019 $845  |  2 Days
QC Training Services’s Measurement Uncertainty Budgets class is perfect for calibration technicians, quality managers, engineers, quality technicians, and other users of uncertainty budgets. All measurements are subject to uncertainty and a measured value is only complete if it is accompanied by a statement of the associated uncertainty. This class will help you calculate the probability of the uncertainty and ensure your measurement system is compliant with ISO 17025. Covered in the training will be basic terminology, basic statistical concepts, computations and correlations, as well as how to analyze and interpret data. Within this class we will also review the ISO Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM).
